For the ultimate #gamingandmasking fan. GLAMGLOW has partnered with SEGA and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG to create a #gamingandmasking experience with the introduction of a limited edition GRAVITYMUD™ FIRMING TREATMENT in exclusive SONIC BLUE. Gaming and masking has never been so sexy!

GRAVITYMUD™ FIRMING TREATMENT in exclusive SONIC BLUE is an out of this world instant tightening and firming mud that contains mega-targeted ingredients that work together to help skin’s contours look and feel more defined. Once dry, this innovative blue formula peels off to reveal skin that instantly feels tighter and looks more lifted.

I had my eye on this face mask for awhile, but never brought it due to its high price tag. GlamGlow then released these mask tubes for £14, and thought that it was too good to miss out on! Or so I thought…

I stupidly never checked the weight of this product, and if I knew it was only 15 grams, I wouldn’t have brought it as it’s such a high price.

It then arrived, and I couldn’t wait to open up the packet to see if the colouring was really how they advertised it!

Yep! The colour was amazing! If I could change my skin, I’d definitely pick this colour. Who doesn’t want to look like a shiny smurf?! Actually, I think this would have been better if they made this Smurf packaging, but I guess Sonic would sell more, since its more popular. In all honesty, I wouldn’t have been as enticed to it, if it hadn’t been Sonic The Hedgehog…

HOW TO USE

Shake and squeeze before use. Apply a generous, even layer to clean skin, avoiding eyebrows and hairline. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Once completely dry, gently peel off from edges. Rinse off excess with warm water. Use twice a week.

My mum and I then had a little pamper day which we do every now and again, which included fake tanning and face mask applying. She originally was going to use this product as well, but decided to use her own since she didn’t like the smell. If anyone is wondering, it smelt like the taste of Pina Colada Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Does anyone else know what I mean by something smelling like the taste?!

I started to pop this on, and was still amazed by the colour! I couldn’t get over this!

I had only applied this onto one cheek when it started to tingle and feel slightly like a burning sensation. I’ve had face masks that have done this in the past, so I wasn’t overly fussed by this.

The box says to leave on for 20-30 minutes which usually I can’t stand when a face mask has a long drying time, but this didn’t seem to bother me this time, since I was putting on fake tan also, which passed the time.

I left this on for around 25 minutes, and then went into the bathroom to peel this off. I usually go for acne and blackhead peel off masks that pull everything out your skin, but since this is a firming treatment, I knew I wouldn’t have the same effect that I do with my other peel offs. Even thought it never mentioned it, I was still slightly hoping for it to pull out a little gunk.

I started to peel at the bottom, and work my way up to the top, and then thats when I noticed how red and sun burnt my face looked! No matter how much I splashed my face with cold water, it was still very red, and felt really sore. I popped on my usual moisturiser and rose water facial spray to take down the redness and try and calm it all down. Luckily, when I woke up the next morning, the redness had gone, but I did notice that I had a few spots that weren’t there the night before. Now, I obviously don’t know 100% that it was the mask that caused the spots, but it does seem likely. Also, I couldn’t notice any improvements to my skin whatsoever after using this. Skin felt the same, but looked 10 times worse than what it did before.

PROS:

  • Smells like jelly beans.
  • Colour is incredible.
  • Left me looking like I had a goatee and moustache when I peeled the majority off.

CONS:

  • Caused my face to turn a lovely shade of baboons ass
  • Tiny amount of product
  • Ridiculously overpriced
  • Left my face stinging
  • Is a bitch to remove from your fingers after you apply
  • Made ZERO improvements to my skin

I don’t think I really need to write this, but you can obviously tell that I hated this product. I was really hoping this was going to be a miracle product, but it was the WORST facemark I have ever used (and I’ve applied a thick layer of sudocrem all over my face for a mask before). I wouldn’t recommend this to ANYONE. Save your money, and stick to what you already know and love.

Have you ever tried this out before? What did you think?

  1. I have used a Glamglow mask before – I can’t remember which one and thought it was overrated.
Pros. You look amazing with a shiney blue face and a David Brent goatee.
Also….. why the fuck did you put a mask of sudocream on your face. What was the desired affect you were going for? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
