Favourite 5 Highlighters

Part 3 of my favourites series is here! I feel like highlighter is always a go to with every makeup look. You can never say no to a bright ass cheekbone!

Makeup Revolution Vivid Light – Peach Lights

This is my usual go to on an everyday. As you can see, its been battered and bruised, and doesn’t even have a lid anymore. Poor mistreated highlighter. How I did you wrong.

Kylie Cosmetics Loose Pigment Highlighters – Fiji, Tahiti, Santorini

My absolute favourite is Santorini, but I couldn’t leave the others out could I?! They’re all so stunning, and I’d head for these if I were going out. Trust me, they are BLINDING.

Jeffree Star Skin Frost – King Tut

I honestly was never expecting this to be so pigmented (see below), but DAMN JEFFREE. I’ve actually ended up using this more as an eyeshadow than as a highlighter, but girl I ain’t complaining.

MUA Undress Your Skin – Iridescent Gold

The first time I swatched this I HATED it. There was literally zero pigment which confused me since all the photos I had seen were so pigmented?! Turns out, these are similar to some ELF products, and you have to get though that ‘top layer’ before they start performing. The more of that layer I’m removing, the more I’m falling in love.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish – Lightscapade

I honestly think this was the first highlighter I ever brought. It’s not as ‘in your face’ as I like to go now, but I do grab this if I’m looking for something subtle.

  1. I love Makeup Revolution. I recently started using their setting spray and it works very well for the price. Have you tried Colourpop? Their highlighters are insanely good. I even use them on my eyes as well. I’m older and the highlighter doesn’t accentuate wrinkles. Love it.
