Today I am collaborating with the wonderful Azzurra! She came up with the idea to create a makeup look which was inspired by the beautiful Elle Fanning! As soon as she sent over a few photos of her and her makeup, I knew instantly that I wanted to get involved!
Elle Fanning’s Makeup
Elle’s makeup is extremely subtle and fresh looking. She actually posted a tutorial on her IG page, and her whole look consisted of only 4 products!
I decided to NOT use any foundation, since Elle’s makeup looks extremely natural. I first went in with The Ordinary High-Spreadabily Fluid Primer, followed by Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover up any redness and spots (my skin isn’t my best friend currently). Elle has freckles along her cheeks and nose, so I decided to try adding some of my own since unfortunately, I am not blessed with them. I went in with my Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Colour and dotted a few freckles here and there. Unfortunately, mine did start to look like I was littered with blackheads, but we’ll ignore that… In the photo, Elle has extremely rosy and highlighted cheeks, and I wanted this to be one of the main focuses. I went in with the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Funfetti, and topped it off with Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights since her highlighter is more white than gold.
Eyes & Lips
For my brows, I again went in with the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Colour. Her brows are again, very natural, so I didn’t try to make them too precise and neat, so I used a very light hand when filling in my brows. To make them more natural, I went in with Eyeko’s Brow Gel and brushed up the hairs.
Her eyeshadow looked as if it was a browny/red smokey eye, with a darkened crease. I used the Makeup Revolution The Matte Edit Eyeshadow Palette to re-create it. Looking back at the photos now, I do wish I had darkened my crease more.
Her eyelashes looked as if they just had mascara on, and no false lashes. I recently brought the W7 Absolute Lashes Mascara, and decided to try it out on this look.
I was actually really annoyed at myself since I thought I already had the exact lipstick she was using. Instead, to create the nude pink lip she was wearing, I used the Beauty Pie Lipstick in Cowboy Nude.
I found this look super easy to create, and since Elle’s makeup was very natural and nothing crazy, I was able to try to create my own personal take on her look.
All together, I only used 9 products which is completely reduced in terms of what I would usually do day to day.
Please make sure you all check out Azzurra’s post, and let me know what you think!
