The wonderful Janelle sent me an email with a few collab ideas and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in! We decided that we would go ahead with a beauty Q&A with both of our answers.
We both asked each other 5 different questions, and these were the results!
Make sure you check out the wonderful Janelle’s post and see both of our answers to my questions!
Tell me about a new makeup trend you’ve tried recently
Brooke: I actually tried putting fake eyelashes on, but placed them under my natural lashes! I’m hooked! I also tried the two toned lipstick trend, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of it!
Janelle: Bright winged eyeliner. I did it with a bright green eyeliner pencil and I actually rather liked it.
Are you more of a contour or highlight person? Or both?
Brooke: Definitely both! Actually… I think more highlighter. I literally pile on so many layers of highlighter, its ridiculous!
Janelle: Oh girl, both. Though I have to say that I’m more of a contour person. I tend to be wary about having too much shimmer on my face, since my skin tends to get fairly greasy throughout the day.
What’s your favourite lipstick texture?
Brooke: 100% matte! I’ve been mixing it up a little with velvets, but matte is definitely what I go towards the most.
Janelle: Satin. I love the look of matte but my dry lips just can’t cope with it.
If you could only choose one beauty products to wear today, what would it be?
Brooke: I think brow pencil. I permed my eyelashes the other day, so they look like I already have mascara on! Otherwise, I think I would go with mascara if they weren’t permed.
Janelle: My brown eyeliner pencil. It’s much better at multi-tasking than I am.
Whats your favourite day-to-day eye makeup look?
Brooke: Usually it’s just mascara and eyeliner, but I’ve been playing around with eyeshadows more and more, so I think they’re going to slowly creep their way into my everyday routine!
Janelle: A matte medium brown eyeshadow applied all over my lid, with a lengthening mascara and brown eyeliner pencil on my outer bottom lash line. Either that, or winged eyeliner.
