Influenster Voxbox | Rimmel London Shades Of Black By Rita Ora Review

I can’t even put it into words how excited I was to recived my first ever Voxbox from Influenster!

If you don’t know what Influenster is, it’s a site where you create an account, review products (they have products to review from makeup to dog food!), earn badges, and if you’re chosen, they’ll send you out products to review for FREE!

What’s the catch you ask? There isn’t one! You literally sign up for free, review products, and recieve products for free to review. That’s all there is to it!

I’ll be creating a post all about Influenster soon, so keep an eye out for that!

I was very kindly chosen to recieve and review one of their Voxbox’s (Voxbox is the name of the box of products they send out), so all the products shown in this post were gifted to me complimentary.

Inside this Voxbox, I received 3 of their new nail polishes, 3 of their new lip glosses, and their mascara.

Shades Of Black 60 Seconds Nail Polish

‘Update your mani-pedi with 60 Seconds Nail Polish in seven new darkly seductive hues. 60 Seconds Nail Polish has a super-speedy quick-dry formula that dries in less than 60 seconds, yet delivers up to 10 days of fade-proof colour and shine.’

In the box, I recieved 3 different Shades Of Black 60 Seconds Nail Polish – 901 Darkest Desires, 906 Matte Black and 903 Midnight Ting.

If you saw my My ENTIRE Nail Polish Collection, you’ll know how much of a fan I am of nail polishes.

I’ve tried other nail polishes that state that they’re ‘quick drying’, but now I can see that they aren’t shit compaired to these! I honestly am super impressed with how fast they dried, and I’m not talking semi-dried. I mean dried fully and I could pick up things and touch things without having to worry about them smudging or ruining.

Ignore how messy I am at applying nail polish.

I first tried out the shade 901 Darkest Desires, and boy am I impressed. 901 Darkest Desires is this beautiful deep dark red colour which is perfect for fall. Even after one coat, the colour payoff was incredible! I did notice how the redness did darken up after a second coat, making the polish almost black, but it still is stunning!

906 Matte Black is exactly what it’s named. I do wish they thought of an actual name like the other two, but that’s just me being picky.

I love Matte nail polishes, and this just ticked all the right boxes.

It did take a minute or two to become matte as they apply with a shine. I found that if I blew on them, they did become matte faster, but it’s not essential.

Also, for a black nail varnish, I was expecting to use around 3 coats since they’re normally quite difficult to get to jet black. Not with this. I only applied one coat, and was super impressed! No patchiness, no lack of colour, nothing! It applied like a dream!

Okay, can we just take a minute to talk about the name of 903 Midnight Ting?! I love it! My inner chav is coming out fo’ sure.

903 Midnight Ting is a beautiful dark purple shade with the tinest amount of shimmer in it. I’m obsessed.

Overall, I’m super impressed with these. Applies really well, not gloopy, dries quickly, super shiny (obviously not the matte shade), and super pigmented. I love them!

Like all nail polishes, I do suggest getting yourself a base and top coat to prevent your nails going yellow and to help prolong the staying power of the polishes.

Shades Of Black Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss

‘The Shades Of Black Collection stars three rich new shades of Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss for an elegantly shine and edgy pout. Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss delivers up to six hours of colour, shine, comfort and moisture for the lips. For a lustrous look, the lightweight, non-sticky gloss formula with vitamin E, and Argan Oil benefits from Rimmel’s ‘Gloss Lock’ technology, which gives an elevated, long-lasting, 3D shine.’

I recived 3 different shades of Shades Of Black Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss – 830 Rita’s Black810 Desire and 820 Moonlight.

In all honesty, I’m not really a gloss type of gal. They irritate the hell out of me, and my hair always gets stuck to my lips. Not cute.

820 Moonlight

I really wanted to fall in love with this. This was the shade that I was drawn to the most since I love a blue lip. Since I’m used to liquid lipstick formulas, this took me by surprise how thin the formula was. As pretty as it is, it definitely needs a lipstick underneath.

Please ignore my pizza face… I have no idea what’s happening at the moment…

Desire is a super pretty deep dark red shade. Definitely gives off that vamp fall look which I am obsessed with!

830 Rita’s Black

Despite the shade ‘Moonlight’ not being as pigmented as I hoped, I didn’t have much hope for this. How I was wrong.

830 Rita’s Black is exactly that. It’s a really deep dark black, that is surprisingly super pigmented for a gloss. It is possible to wear this lip gloss on it’s own, but I personally prefer it with a lipstick underneath to give it a helping hand.

Wonder’Fully Real Mascara

‘Lashes feel conditioned, soft and flexible, with zero clumps and a feather-light volume. Ultra Flex brush with ultra-soft bristles also hugs lashes defining them from root to tip. The result: all lashes revealed with full, perfectly smooth, clump-free volume.’

Now, even though this mascara was included in the Voxbox, I’m going to be doing a whole different post on this mascara since it’s not apart of the Shades Of Black range. Hope that makes sense, and keep your eyes peeled for that!

And there we have it! My very first Voxbox! I cannot wait to see what goodies I might get in the next one!

  1. Did it take you long to receive? Thinking of signing up but again if you need to do about 20 a day for 2 months? Not sure I have the time!

Love the post btw, looking froward to the mascara review and shame this didn’t come in a matte liquid lipstick or I’d be all over the vampy red one!

    1. I think I’ve been signed up to it for about 5 months now, and have reviewed 108 products. It is a lot of writing, but I’ve seen people who have only reviewed 20 things and recived a Voxbox. And I know! I’m gutted there was no mattes! Thank you for reading! x
