October 2017 Birchbox X COPPAFEEL Subscription Box + Discount Code!

Like my October 2017 Lookfantastic Subscription Box, I already knew what I was getting in this box, but I didn’t mean too!

I went on their website to have a look at something, and they had already released photos of the contents, and since it was on their homepage, I accidentally saw it. Oh well!

Model Co MEGALASH Mascara

IMG_9454.JPG

WHAT Think of this as a high-definition treatment for your lashes. The brush lifts and fans out each individual lash as it goes, coating them all with an intensively black pigment for a defined, lengthened, and volumised finished.

HOW Wriggle the mascara brush from the roots to the tips of your lashes, and repeat if needed!

A few weeks a go, Birchbox sent out an email to subscribers asking what product they would want to receive. You could choose from this mascara, or a Models Co contour stick. Since I already have the contour stick, and I’m a bit of a mascara fiend, I chose this one!

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

IMG_9431

WHAT Wave goodbye to make-up and grime, without stripping your skin of moisture, with this 99% natural cleanser. Spruce knot extract helps to decongest whilst refreshing grapefruit and frankincense soothes and re-balances your complexion.

HOW Smooth over your face, neck, and closed eyes – massaging as you go. Rinse with warm water.

I’ve said this previously, but I’m not too much of a fan of using new skin care products like washes, since my skin is very temperamental. I will keep in for when I do decided it’s time to mix things up again, but I won’t be using this right now due to a breakout I’m having.

Anatomicals Grab Your Melons Shower Gel

IMG_9428.JPG

WHAT What better time to look after yourself than in the shower? This zesty body wash cares for your skin and uplifts your mood so you’re all set! While you’re lathering up, take 5 minutes to coppafeel of your boobs – you’ll know exactly what to feel for with the help of your CoppaFeel! Shower Hijack sticker

HOW Massage over damp skin, working into a lather, then rinse away

Ohh my god this smells amazing. I’m all for shower gels, so I cannot wait to try this! Also, this is a full-sized product, and it’s only £1.50! Bargin!

R + Co Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste

IMG_9441.JPG

WHAT Transform second day hair with this innovative formula! It’s brimming with Hawaiian volanic ash to cleanse your scalp, zeolite powder to absorb excess oil and volumise, and a whole host of natural oils to leave your hair feeling soft

HOW Rub a small amount between your fingers and massage through dry hair, focusing on your roots. Top tip! Smooth a little through damp hair, before blow-drying for a volume boost

I’ve never used a dry shampoo paste before, so I’m very excited to try this out! The only thing that worries me is that it has a whole lot of natural oils in, so I’m not too sure how it’s going to de-grease my hair…

Whish Coconut Milk Body CC CreamIMG_9439.JPG

WHAT Restore summer’s forgotten glow to your skin with this luxurious lotion. Rich in antioxidants, this cream formula hydrates dry patches with organic aloe and shea butter while a hint of bronze adds a sun-kissed shimmer

HOW Smooth generously over your arms, legs, or anywhere you want to add radiance

Since it’s getting colder (yay!), I really need to start moisturising more, so I cannot wait to use this after a bath!

I wanted to talk about something slightly different that was included in the Birchbox.

In the box, they also included a sticker from CoppaFeel, which promotes copping a feel of your breasts to check for signs of breast cancer.

IMG_9455.JPG

Whist this box is mainly aimed at women, breast cancer can also happen to any gender.

I’m actually really happy that they included this. If even one person decides to check their breasts after seeing the sticker, and god forbid find anything, then they’ve potentially saved someones life.

  • LOOK for swelling in your armpit or around collar bone.
  • FEEL for lumps and thickening.
  • LOOK for nipple inversions (turned in) and changed in direction.
  • FEEL constant pain in your breast or armpit.
  • LOOK for a rash or crusting of the nipple or surrounding area.
  • LOOK for a change in size and shape.
  • LOOK for changes in skin texture eg, puckering or dimpling.
  • LOOK for nipple discharge.

IF IN DOUBT, GET IT CHECKED OUT.

  1. Have you ever tried glossybox? And do you think this box is worth it most months? As I used to have glossybox and am looking to rejoin one and wasn’t sure which one was best? The glossybox I found was amazing one month then pants the next

    1. I haven’t personally, but I brought my mum a 6 month subscription for christmas last year. She said she found the boxes nice to received, and liked some of the products, but the majority she didn’t end up using. In all honestly, I’m having to cancel some subscription boxes, and this is going to be the one I miss the less. If I were you, I’d either go for Lookfantastic, or if you have a higher budget, I’d subscribe to Look Incredible. I’m subscribed to their luxury box which is £35 a month, but they also have the normal box for £25. Both contain high end brands, so they’re worth the extra money in my eyes!

  2. So I literally subscribed to Birchbox a week ago and can’t wait to see what I get. I’ve been subscribed to IPSY for over a year and love it very much so thought I should add another subscription. Thinking about getting Boxycharm soon.

    1. As much as I love Birchbox, there have been a few boxes I’ve got that I haven’t been that impressed with, but I guess that’s just the risk of subscribing! I’m signed up to Birchbox, Lookfantastic, and Look Incredible! I love seeing the goodies every month!
