I’m Breaking Up With You.

There. I said it. It’s over. For now…

So if you’ve been following me for a while now, you’ll most likely know that I post everyday at 12am.

For the last couple of days, I haven’t been posting for a couple of reasons.

Reason #1: I’ve not been feeling super inspired to write and I don’t want to force myself to talk about a subject, just so that I can get a post published. I only want to write when I feel inspired since I’ve learnt the hard way. Whenever I’ve previously posting something just for the sake of getting something out there, it’s just turned out a bit shit to be honest. Also, I used to have 2 weeks worth of scheduled posts, but since I took a little break a while back, I ‘used’ them all up. Note to self: Start getting motivated to write.

Reason #2: I’ve been increasing my hours at work, so when I do have days off, I want a complete day off – hence why my replies to your lovely comments have taken a day or two.

Reason #3: My sleep pattern is all over the place. Twice this week, I’ve finally managed to fall asleep at 7am, even though I’m doing more hours at work.

Reason #4: I have zero photos. I hate putting posts up without at least 2 photos (Featured image and another image in the post), but I will sometimes let the odd post with 1 photo be published. Since my sleep is all over the place, I’m not managing to get that many photos taken in bright lighting.

Reason #5: I kind of don’t want too? Like, don’t get me wrong, I still bloody love blogging and can see myself doing it until I’m 80, but I put so much pressure on myself for getting content out there, that it’s quite nice to have a couple of days off.

I’m not working tomorrow, so I promise you all I’m going to spend the whole day planning posts. There still may not be a post that goes up tomorrow night, but there will definitely be things going on in the background.

You can’t get rid of me that easily.

Sometimes a little break is all you need, so don’t feel guilty! We all love your content and are looking forward to more once you’re feeling a bit more refreshed. Also tip: peppermint tea is really good for making you sleepy!

Ahh thank you so much! This really means a lot! I actually used to drink a lot of peppermint tea, but stopped for some reason… It also really helps with my bloating, so I’m going to be sure to drink a lot of that today! It’s currently 10am and I still havent slept! Nightmare haha

Taking a break is ok! I️ find when I️ force myself to write, post an insta, or anything – it’s garbage. Taking a step back can help revive you and renew your love for it. I️ support this!
