My 2018 New Years Resolutions

I’ve actually never been one for new years resolutions, but something inside me is telling me to make a couple (and actually try to accomplish them) for 2018.

Read 10 Books

This year I’ve read 2/3 books. I used to read non stop, and I really miss getting stuck into a decent book. Any good book recommendations? Hit me up with your favourite crime books!

Save At Least £1000

I managed to get quite a bit saved over the last year, but then my car insurance came out, and it failed it’s MOT, so it was bye-bye to all of the savings I had! I actually think this is somewhat accomplishable now that I’m working a hell of a lot more, so wish me luck!

Drink 2 Litres A Day

I’m such an idiot. Every time I drink 2+ litres a day, my skin looks amazing, I feel so much better in myself, and I have so much more energy. I just always find myself forgetting to drink (if that’s even possible…). Since I’m back at work now, I am finding it easier to drink more, so fingers crossed I can carry it on.

Stay The FUCK Out Of Hospital

This is the biggest one. Obviously, this isn’t something that I can really dictate, but I’m going to try my hardest to stay far and wide away from hospitals. I think I had my fair share of visits this year!

Double My Blog Stats

Throughout these last few months, my stats and followers have hit numbers that I NEVER would have expected. It’s a big one, but I’m super determined to work hard on my blog this year. I’m also thinking of attempting to go self-hosted again (for the 4th time) so I can’t wait to get my theme just how I want it!

What are your new years resolutions?

  1. I used to read a lot of books but then with work it got hard. But this year I’ve managed to read over 35 books, and my suggestion would be to read during work breaks or lunch break. I get two 15mins breaks and a 30min lunch and that’s when I do my reading. I really enjoyed All The Missing Girls (it’s a crime/thriller) and A Discreet Madness from Mindy McGinnis.

  2. Good resolutions! I started the goal of drinking more water this past month and it really makes you feel so much better and energized since more than half of our bodies are made up of water. Saving money is always a good idea as well. Wishing you success in your endeavors as you push forward!

  4. Love this!! I just joined the blogosphere a few days ago and am trying to figure out the best way to get traffic to my site. I see that you have done this really well do you have any suggestions for me? It’s so defeating posting material without anyone reading it lol

    1. Thank you! A few things that have helped me gain more traffics is:

-post regularly and let your followers know what days and time you’re going to post
      -stay active on social media
      -make friends with other bloggers
-comment and like other people’s blog posts
-respond to all comments left on your blog
-join in with Facebook/Twitter blogging groups

I’ve also wrote some other blogging tips on my blog! If you look under the ‘blogging 101’ tag, it’ll bring them all up! Good luck sweetie! X

  5. One of the best ways of saving money is the £5 challenge! Every time you get £5, whether it be if you got £5 from breaking in to £10 cash or you get down to £15 from £20 in your bank account etc. Save those Fivers!! I know it sounds easy and ridiculous but honestly its insane how quickly you can save! £5 over time goes a long way, people have saved thousands. I really struggle to save money, but this has been such an amazing hack for me! I hope this helps!

    1. Thank you so much! Definitely going to give this a go! I usually always use the largest note I have (even if I’m buying something for £1), and then save all the change! I also work in a pub, so I think this is going to be super easy for me because of tips! You’re a star x
