The March and April boxes have to be some of my favourite boxes I’ve ever received from Lookfantastic. As much as I obviously love getting good boxes, it also makes me worry that I have a few shitty boxes in store. Luckily for me, I’m in love with this months May 2018 Lookfantastic box. Fingers crossed that next month’s box doesn’t let me down!

“Harnessing the potent power of RNA and Arginine’s antioxidant properties to give your skin some well-deserved TLC! The lightweight serum helps your skin radically combat signs of ageing from wrinkles to sagging skin and even brown spots. The formula leaves skin visibly firmer and healthier.
How to use: Apply a few drops of serum to damp skin after cleansing. Press serum into skin with an open palm instead of fingertips to release active ingredients. Wait 2-3 minutes to allow serum to fully absorb before moisturising.
BBTips: For maximum absorption, be sure to wash your face with tepid water before applying your serum. Then tone and exfoliate!”
This does sound incredible, but anti-ageing products is not something my skin needs right now. Even though I don’t currently use a serum, I am thinking about adding one into my skincare routine. If anyone knows of a good face serum for oily and acne prone skin, please let me know!
“Get ready for your close up. A travel-sized gem that evens, plumps and brightens your skin. This product is a mask, moisturiser and a primer all in one. It contains a powerful blend of repairing plant oils as well as a boost of caffine to erase signs of fatigue, making your skin look radiant.
How to use: Apply to clean skin, including eye area, and massage gently until absorbed.
BBTips: It can also double as a ‘lip liner’ to lock in bold lipstick and stop it from bleeding. We like to apply this with a flat-tipped lip brush to get a clean line.”
I’m currently using the Pixi Rose Flash Balm in the evenings which is also advertised as a 3 in 1 product (moisturiser, mask and primer) like this one. Whilst I am liking the Rose Flash Balm, I’m not too sure if I would repurchase it. Once I finish the Flash Balm, I definitely will be giving this one a go.
“Rejuvenate your complextion with an innovative treatment to dissolve impurities and stimulate cellular renewal. When applied, the sheet mask creates a foaming effect when exposed to air that delivers a deep cleanse that unclogs pores and eliminates dirt. A selection of fruit-derived acids work to gently exfoliate the surface layer of skin, while charcoal is renowned for its detoxifying properties.
How to use: Cleanse skin. Rub sachet for a few sections to activate bubbles. Tear open sachet and remove mask from packaging. Unfold and place onto face for 15-20 minutes. You will see the mask begin to bubble and foam. Remove the mask and rinse off any excess with water.
BBTips: You don’t have to rinse off the bubbles, you can use as added serum!”
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I’m still not truly sold on the whole sheet mask idea. Whilst I do enjoy using them when my skin is feeling a bit yuck, they definitely don’t replace normal masks for me. I’ve used a bubble mask in the past and really enjoyed it, so I am hoping that this might win me over.
“This gorgeous duo compact is perfect for contouring cheekbones and adding shimmer to illuminate your face and create a flawless finish to your makeup.
How to use: To achieve great cheek definition, apply the contour powder using a small contour brush. Start from the ear moving gently towards the direction of your mouth, building definition as desired and blending as you go, to ensure all lines are soft. Then, apply the highlighter lightly to the apples of the cheeks for defined and sculpted cheekbones.
BBTips: Apple the highlighter to exposed collarbones for an added glow!”
These past few months, bronzer has been my best friend, so I was very happy to see this in the May 2018 Lookfantastic box. Unfortunately, I do think the bronzer shade is a tad too dark for me, but I’m going to use it sparingly and hope for the best. The highlight shade doesn’t particularly wow me, but I’m obsessed with their highlighting palettes, so fingers crossed it’s a dark horse and surprises me.
“A black liquid liner with a tapered precision tip. This waterproof eyeliner glides effortlessly across the eyes in one simple sweep, allowing you to create subtle, thin lines or dramtic cat eyes. Expect professional, controlled application and superior colour pay-off that even Alexa Chung raves about!
How to use: Dot along the upper lid to build up the perfect cat eye.
BBTips: For a smokey eye, blend out that liner with an eyeshadow brush whilst still wet”
Whilst I rarely wear eyeliner at the moment, I was very happy to see this. I absolutely adore Eyeko products. I did give this a little swatch on the back of my hand (and obviously didn’t take a photo because I’m an amazing blogger) and I was super impressed. All I look for in a liquid eyeliner is for it not to crack, pigmented and lasts all day without smudging. I’m keeping my expectations high for this one!
“These best-selling whitening strips have been specially formulated by dentists and are clinically proven to safely whiten your teeth with minimal tooth sensitivity. The easy-to-use strips sit comfortably and perfectly to the contour of your teeth whilst the hydrogen peroxide breaks down any complex external stains, penetrating the top layer of the enamel to reveal a natural, pearly white shine.
How to use: Place the shorter whitening strips on the dry lower teeth first and then the longer strip on dry top teeth. Leave the strips in place for 1 hour. Remove the strips and rinse away any residual gel.
BBTips: Avoid dark coloured foods and drinks such as tea, coffee and red wine for the first few days during and after use to see the brightest slime!”
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know how much I adore the Janina Teeth Whitening Strips. I’m actually about to start reviewing another teeth whitening product soon (full review will be up at the end of the month), so unfortunately I won’t be able to try these out for a while. Despite me not being able to use these straight away, I am very happy to see them in the box.
