Huge Beauty Product Declutter

The last time I decluttered my makeup collection, it felt bloody amazing, so it was about time I did a huge beauty product declutter. I’m very lucky to be sent a lot of new beauty products from brands to try out, but it’s more than I’d ever be able to ever use in my lifetime. It’s also really nice to be able to find the exact product I was after straight away, without having to do that much hunting around for it. It’s the little things in life.

Face Products

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser – I used to love this moisturiser. I don’t think it did much for my acne, but it really did moisturise my skin. However, about 3 weeks before I stopped using it completely, it really stung my face every time I put it on. I’m still not too sure why it did, but I don’t think I’ll be going back to it any time soon.

Heliocare 360 Fluid Cream – I’m getting rid of this for a few different reasons;

  1. It’s really old (and I’m talking a good 3 years).
  2. I don’t think I’ll ever want to use it, or even try it out.
  3. The skincare products I’m currently using have SPF in, so I don’t need the extra protection.

It’s just a no from me.

PS… Love To Glow Face Mask – If you read my review, I’m sure you’re all surprised I kept hold of this mask for so long. I haven’t used it since the review, and I won’t ever again. Time for the bin I think.

Huge beauty product declutterDalacin®T Topical Lotion Clindamycin Phosphate – Sometime last year, I got prescribed this acne lotion to help calm everything down. I do think it took some of the redness out of my skin, but that was about it.

Rainwater Botanicals Troubled Skin Facial Serum – Rainwater Botanicals very kindly sent me over some products of theirs to review, and I never got around to testing this out. I did squirt out a little when it first arrived, but since it’s been opened quite a while now, I think it’s time to throw it out.

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel – I’ve never hated a cleanser more than this one. I received it as a free gift in a Beauty Bay haul, and I was so excited to give it a go since I adore their Drying Lotion. This cleanser made my skin the oiliest I’ve seen it. My skin felt absolutely horrible, and I definitely don’t ever want to try it out again.

Skin Kissed Vitamin C Serum – Again, this is something else I was very kindly sent to review. I mentioned how I loved using it as a makeup primer, and it really helped to prolong my base. However, I went to use it the other day, and it smelt awful. I know skincare products can go bad, but I have never smelt a skincare product that smelt this bad before. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d repurchase this, just because the smell has put me off so much!

Body Products

Garnier Intense 7 Days Ultra-Softening Lotion Nourishing Shea Butter – I couldn’t tell you how old this must be. They don’t even do this packaging any more. Also, I can’t remember the last time I remembered to use a body lotion. Oops…

Native Unearthed Natural Deodorant Balm Coconut Vanilla – I got this in one of my subscription boxes, and I’ve only ever tried it a handful of times, but I wasn’t a fan. The texture is super gritty, and with my long nails, it makes it hard to put on. I’d love to try a stick natural deodorant (if they exists), but cream/balm moisturisers aren’t for me.

Hair Products

Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly – When I first tried this out, I loved it. It made my hair look really naturally curly, and didn’t leave my hair feeling full of product. Weirdly enough, the last 4 or 5 times I’ve tried this, it’s done nothing for me apart from leave my hair feeling gross. I’ve tried adding less, adding more, applying on wet hair, applying on dry hair, everything. I don’t know why it’s now not working, but I don’t think I’ll be reaching for it again. Huge beauty product declutter

Number 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray – The spray sounded right up my street when I saw it in my August Birchbox. I’ve tried it out a few times now, and I don’t think it did much, if anything.

Like the above, Schwarzkopf got2b Beach Matt Mermaid Look Texturizing Salt Spray and the Urban Fudge Sea Salt Texturizing Spray did nothing for me. Zilch. Nada. I just was left with damp hair until it dried, and that was it.

Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil – About a month ago now, I was very kindly sent this to try out. I tried it as both a hair mask and as a de-frizzer, and I hated it. When I tried it out as a mask, it didn’t wash out at all, and when I tried it as a de-frizzer, it just left oily patches in my hair. I think if the consistency was thinner, I may have kept hold of this.

I’m also going to be declutting LUSH Soak And Float Solid Shampoo Bar, Margot Schmitt Cashmere Liquid Hair Repair, John Frieda Frizz Ease 10 Day Tamer Pre-Wash Treatment and the Percy & Reed Wonder Overnight Recovery from my collection. I haven’t tried any of them out, so I can’t say if they’re bad or good, but I just don’t think I’d ever use them.

Have you ever had a Huge Beauty Product Declutter? What did you get rid of?
