April 2018 Favourites – Four Products I’ve Been Loving This Month

I feel as if I haven’t written a monthly favourites post in ages. In fact, the last one I posted was back in October 2017! In April, I found myself using the same old products I’ve been using a while, so nothing really truly impressed me that much apart from these fantastic four. Now, less of the rambling and let’s get onto showing you my April 2018 favourites.

April 2018 Favourites

April 2018 Favourites - Gucci Bloom Perfume

Gucci Bloom Eau De Parfum – £74.00

I’ve been a big fan of the Gucci perfumes for so long now, but I never could justify the price tag. £75 for a bottle of liquid that smells nice?!

It wasn’t until I went shopping with the mindset of ‘treat yo self’ that I picked up this and a roller ball version in the sale at Debenhams. And guess what? I’m bloody glad I did.

This perfume has quickly become one of my favourite ever scents. I cannot get enough of it. I mentioned in my perfume collection post that I have such a shit sense of smell, but here’s what the Gucci website has to say about the scent:

  • Natural tuberose harvested from India.
  • Jasmine bud extract, obtained through an exclusive method of co-extraction to impart a fresh green and petal scent on the skin
  • Rangoon Creeper, embodying the fragrance’s concept and name, the slightly powdery floral scent is captured as the flower blooms from white and gradually darkens to pink, then red.

April 2018 Favourites - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion – £16.00

I’ve mentioned this a million and one times, and I’ll continue to mention this product until I die.

Whilst this pretty little minimalistic product doesn’t look all that tough, I can assure you it is.

My skin is constantly up and down. One minute it’s dry, the next it’s oily, then clear, then spotty – it can’t seem to make it’s mind up. Whenever I’m in my ‘spotty’ skin stage, I always reach for this.

Dip a clean q-tip into the pink solution at the bottom and dab onto spots. Within the morning, the products sucked all the gunk out to the top so I can give it a good squeeze (I know you shouldn’t do this, but I can’t help it!), or it’s really reduced in size.

£16 may seem a little pricey for an acne treatment, but it lasts so long and is super powerful, making it 100% worth it in my eyes.

April 2018 Favourites - Sure deodorant

Sure Women Crystal Invisible Aqua Stick Deodorant – £3.09

If you’ve read any of my product empties posts, you’ll be sick to death of hearing (reading?) me say that I’m quite the deodorant whore. I’ve never stuck to one deodorant brand as I never thought I’d find the one. That was until I came across this drip stopper.

I am someone who violently sweats. #NoShame. This is the only thing I’ve found that truly works on keeping me dry all day. Since using this, I’ve even plucked up the courage to wear lighter tops, and it hasn’t let me down so far *touches closes bit of wood I can find*.

I do find it slightly irritating as you have to let it dry for a few minutes before putting on black clothing, unless you want the dreaded deodorant white marks to be covering your top.

April 2018 Favourites - Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel – £31.00

I picked this up when I purchased the Gucci Bloom perfume set. I had heard about the original verison so much and had been dying to try it out.

I actually didn’t know they had a gel formula of this moisturiser, but that’s one of the reasons I decided to buy it. If you didn’t already know, cream moisturiser and oily skin are not friends. If you have oily/combination skin like myself, you should definitely invest in getting yourself a gel moisturiser.

Whilst this is still deserves it’s rightful place on my April 2018 favourites, I’m not 100% sure if it’s breaking me out.

I love how hydrated this makes my skin feel, but ever since I’ve started to use this, I have been breaking out more. After having a look online, a lot of people seem to be saying the same thing. Only time will tell I guess!
