I know, I know. My last post was another Subscription box unboxing, but I can’t help myself. I just absolutely love getting them, so when I had an email asking if I would like to review the Latest In Beauty Beauty Guru subscription box, I couldn’t say no.
Latest In Beauty work completely different to any other subscription box I’ve ever come across. Instead of receiving a monthly box of surprise products, Latest In Beauty let you choose the products you want to receive.
There’s three different types of beauty boxes you can receive – Beauty Novice, Beauty Enthusiast, or Beauty Guru. All three boxes are different prices, and they allow you to choose a set amount of products:
- Cheapest – Beauty Novice – 3 products for £9.00 a month/£16.00 plus P&P for a one-off box.
- Midrange – Beauty Enthusiast – 6 products for £15.00 a month/£22.00 plus P&P for a one-off box
- Most Expensive – Beauty Guru – 9 products for £18.00 a month/£25.00 plus P&P for a one-off box
Once you’ve picked which beauty box you’d like, you then get taken to the products page. On here, you can search through hundreds of beauty products you’d like to try out. You can find brands such as Origins, Crabtree & Evelyn, Coach, NUXE, Caudalie and so many more.
After you’ve selected your 3, 6, or 9 products, fill in all your details and wait for your new beauty products to arrive. It’s really as simple as that!
Inside My Own Latest In Beauty Beauty Guru Subscription Box
Whilst I’ve never tried a In Shower fake tan before, they’ve always really intrigued me. I adore the look of tanned skin, but I can never find the time (or really be bothered) to fake tan.
Supposedly, you hop in the shower, apply the gradual tan, wait three minutes, wash off and ta-da! I’m just hoping it’s as simple as it sounds.
I haven’t heard too many reviews about this, so I’m really hoping it’s my new tanning knight in shining armour. Let’s just pray I don’t walk out the shower looking like Georgia Nicolson’s legs when she went swimming with Robbie.
Possibly the most talked about sheet mask out there. Seriously, talk to anyone who’s tried a sheet mask before, and they’re bound to have tried this out.
Whilst I do prefer the typical cream formula face masks, I absolutely love how this made my skin look and feel. I’ve only ever tried this Garnier Tissue Mask out once before, so I thought it was about time I gave my skin a little treat again. Especially since the colder weather has now hit, my skin could really do with some extra hydration.
Glowing, hydrated skin in 15 minutes? I’ll take 40 of these, thank you!
I absolutely love Green Tea, but I can never justify the price of Matcha Green Tea. I can pick up a box of Green Tea teabags for 90p, but the powdered form seems ridiculously expensive for what it is.
Matcha Green Tea claims to boost your metabolism, detoxifies, lowers cholesterol and blood sugars, aids concentration and many more things. Even if I don’t notice any of the benefits of the tea, I do feel a tad smug when I tell people I’ve just drank a Matcha Green Tea.
Pure Chimp also donate a percentage of the profits made to charity, which does make me feel slightly better about spending £10 on a green powder.
I know I said I’m not the biggest sheet mask fan, but I knew I had to give this a go.
Although I haven’t tried too many products from Yes To out, I’ve heard some really incredible things about them. Also, my skin absolutely adores charcoal skin care products, so I’m hoping this is going to work for me.
After reading up about it, it also says that the mask tingles when it’s applied. However, it also says if it tingles too much, take it off straight away. I do like a tingling mask, but I’m just praying it tingles in a good way.
Earlier this year, I picked up the Primark Tanning Water, and let’s just say it didn’t really go to plan (hello pale body and bright orange feet!). Every person I spoke to about the Tanning Water either said it worked amazingly for them, or they had a similar outcome to myself.
James Read are a well known tanning brand, so I’m hoping this can be everything I expected from the Primark verison. Also, I’m going to make sure I read up some reviews first, and see what other people suggest for getting the perfect tan.
Firstly, I’m not too sure that this eyeshadow should be called ‘Gold’, since it looks more bronzey, grey to me.
Secondly, the pigmentation in this eyeshadow is honestly something else. I have never heard of this brand before, so I had no idea what to expect, but I’m honestly blown away by it.
I don’t tend to wear a lot of dark eyeshadows, but this shade may have just convinced me to start.
Unfortunately, unless my Googling skills aren’t up to scratch, I don’t think Affect has a U.K. site, so I’d definitely recommend picking up a few shades in your own Latest In Beauty Beauty Guru subscription box!
Usually, I just tend to stick with your typical pressed blush, but I decided to push the boat out. I think the main reason I tend to stay away from loose mineral products is simply because I’m ridiculously clumsy. I give it a week before this ends up all over my white rug.
I picked up the shade Rose as they said it was suited more for pale skin. Worst case scenario and I fell in love with the shade, but didn’t get along with it being loose, I could always press it myself and hope for the best!
I have way too many nail polishes, but I couldn’t stop myself from adding this shade to my collection. Typically, I don’t tend to wear too many pink colours in the winter, but this looks like the perfect summer shade.
O.P.I are definitely one of my favourite nail polish brands, and I can’t wait to get my toe painted in this.
Sanctuary Spa products are some of my favourites. I remember seeing their gift sets in Boots when Christmas shopping, and I always had to pick one up for myself.
This perfume sample brings us up to product number 10. I know I definitely didn’t select this to be in my box, so it seems they decided to add in a little freebie. I’m not complaining in the slightest though!
Whilst I don’t tend to use perfume samples daily, I love throwing a couple in my bag for when I need a little touch up. Also, I don’t go out out anymore, but they’re the perfect size to keep in your clutch (or bra. I’m not judging).
