Lily Collins Golden Globes 2017 Makeup Tutorial

Firstly, what did everything think of ‘To The Bone’? I personally enjoyed it, and didn’t see much wrong with it, but as someone who has never suffered from an ED, I don’t really think my opinion counts as I can see why it would be triggering to some. Let me know what you thought! Either way, I like Lily Collins is an incredible actress.

Secondly, a big thank you and also a big appology to Emily! She originally emailed me about this collab in August! Super sorry for being a pain in the ass with this, and thank you for being so patient with me!

For Lily’s makeup, she has quite a netural base with a medium strong contour under her cheekbones.

For her eyes, she wears a pinky/brown blended shade, with either extreamly natural fake eyelashes, or a few coats of mascara.

I think my favourite thing about her look is the lips. I love a bold lip at the best of times, and I really think that the red lip pulls the whole look together. Saying that, I think the makeup would look stunning if it were to be paired with a nude lip, for something more natural and day time.

Products Used.

First things first, I went in with my PS… Primer Water all over my face to insure that my face was prepped for the base makeup. After the primer had dried, I then mixed together my Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation in Creamy Vanilla and MUA Custom Colour Foundation Mixer in Lighting Cool since the foundation is a tad too dark for me (you can see how it’s still not a complete match in the photos). After using the foundation, I wanted to brighten up my undereye, so I used the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye in Light to highlight the high points of my face, and also conceal any blemishes I had.

To set my face, I went in with the RCMA No-Colour Setting Powder, to insure everything stayed in place. For contour, I went in with my Kylie Cosmetics Skinny Dip Duo and used the shade Sun Kissed. Since Lily’s contour isnt super strong, this shade was perfect. To get the rosy cheeks that she wears, I used my Zoeva Luxe Colour Blush in Rush Rush, which is the perfect bright pink shade.

For my brows, I took my PS… Brow Pencil in Medium to fill in and thicken my natural brows, as Lily has quite a strong brow.

Moving onto my eyeshadow, I first went in with the NARS Velvet Lip Liner in Patong Beach in the inner and outer corners of my eyes, and blended it out. To set the lip liner, and to add more of a pinky tone to my eyes, I took the same Zoeva Luxe Colour Blush in Rush Rush and blended this colour all over my lid, but mainly focusing on where I poped the lip liner. Since at this stage I looked as if I had a bad eye infection, I took my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and took the shade Half-Baked, and ever so sightly darkened up the outer corner. I then kept mixing between the blush and the palette shade until I was happy with the outcome.

To brighten up the eye, I took Jelly Pong Pong Bare Necessities Highlighting Pencil and placed this in my waterline.

Since this look is rather summery and bright, Lily skipped out on the dark eyeliner and bold lashes. To recreate this, I took Shiseido Nourshing Mascara Base to help my mascara look For my mascara, I went in with the Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara and applied a couple of coats.

I think it looked fine without lashes, but I wanted to try out the PS… Intense False Eyelashes which are super natural lashes, so I went ahead and popped them on, under my natural lashes with the Duo Clear-White Eyelash Adhesive.

I first took my L’Oreal Lip Liner Couture in the colour Scarlet Rouge 461 to line the outside of my lips. To recreate Lily’s bold lip, I took Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Checkmate.

A big thank you to Emily who came up with this idea, and thank you again for your patience!

Make sure you all go over to Emily’s page, and see what Golden Globes makeup she recreated!
