Makeup Declutter

I’m the biggest makeup horder I know. It honestly breaks my heart to get rid of makeup, and I’m not entirely sure why. Whilst I have got slightly better at getting rid of makeup I don’t like/use, I still have a huge amount of products to get rid of. I adore reading and watching makeup declutter blog posts and videos, so I decided to bite the bullet and get rid of some products I no longer use. Will I regret this? Most likely. Do I need to do this? Absolutely.

I do also need to declutter some of my skincare products and lipsticks, but I didn’t want to make this post the size of the bible, so they’ll be up sometime over the next few weeks.

Base Makeup Declutter

Rainwater Botanicals CC Colour Correcting Cream + Suncream

I received this a while back to review, and whilst I liked it at the time, I found myself reaching for it less and less. The coverage is perfect for those summer days when you want something light, but my skin is being a total bitch these last few months, so I need a little something extra.

O. Two. O Custom Enhancer Drops

I brought this when I wanted to test out some liquid products, and then decided that liquid products are definitely not for me. Every liquid product I’ve tried hasn’t worked for me, no matter how hard I try to convince myself I like them.

Beauty Glazed 3D Highlighter Liquid Glow

As above, me and liquid products are a no-go.

Makeup Revolution Foundation Stick

I heard so many good things about this and I was dying to get it and give it a go. Usually, products go viral, I end up buying it, and I tend to like them. Not with this though.

I popped it on, and not even 5 minutes later, I was washing it off. It looked horrible on my skin, it was patchy, it didn’t blend right, I could honestly go on. It’s only £5, but it’s honestly not worth wasting your money on. If you’re after a cheap foundation, try out the Essence 16h Wear. It’s under a fiver, and it’s my go-to every single day.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

Usually, when I buy foundations, I just grab the lightest shade and pay, without even testing out the shade. That’s exactly what I did with this, until I realised just how pale this foundation was.

I didn’t actually use this since I know the colour was ridiculously pale for me, but I have heard a lot of good things (only if you use a little though, as it can go patchy).

Eye Makeup Declutter

Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes Mascara

This arrived in my November 2017 CC Beauty Subscription Box, and from the photo that they had printed on the box of the mascara, I thought this would be my new best friend. How wrong was I.

This literally did next to nothing for my lashes. No volume, no big eyed look, no false lash effect, nothing.

I tried this again a few weeks after I first tried it, and hated it even more. It’s a no from me.

Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara

This was another product I received in an ASOS box, and again, I hated it.

Like the previous mascara, this didn’t do anything for me, even after trying it multiple times.

Rimmel Eye Brow Pencil

When I was in secondary school, this was my go to eyebrow product. Now, I really dislike eye brow pencils like this. I love micro pencils, but I feel as if these normal sized pencils look so unflattering (on me anyway).

I’ve kept this pencil for way too long now, and it’s about time it went in the bin.

Collection Clear Brow Mascara

Ahh, my first ever brow gel. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I used this, so of course it had to have a place in my makeup declutter.

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast High-Definition Collagen-Coat™ Mascara

I adore this mascara (I always forget how much of a gem this mascara really is), but it’s ridiculously old and all dried up now. Someone please remind me to re-purchase this?

Whats made it way into your makeup declutter?
