My third Look Incredible subscription box of the year arrived on my doorstep a few days ago! Even though I don’t always love every product inside the boxes, they ALWAYS end up worth it with their contents value. The March 2019 Look Incredible Deluxe Subscription Box cost me £35, but the value of the box is £108.50, meaning I’ve just scored myself £73.50 worth of product for NOTHING. What a bloody bargain.

“Combining the colour payoff of a lipstick with the comfort of a balm, Dior’s Addict Lacquer Stick is the answer to luscious, vibrant lips that stay hydrated throughout the day. This new-generation lacquer stick imparts a special ‘lip fondant effect’ that liberates a glossy shine on application without feeling tacky. Offering up to six smudge-free hours of wear and unrivalled texture, it’s a must in any on-the-go kit.”
There’s just something about Dior packaging that gets me giddy every time I see it. The goal is to have a dressing table, with Dior lipsticks filling up a lipstick organiser. A girl can dream.
Even though I haven’t been wearing much lipstick these last few months, I’m still over the moon to test this baby out. Actually, I’ve got a posh, swanky work awards do coming up, and since the dress code is black with a flash of red, this will do me perfectly.
“On a quest for constant improvement, Black Up is once again revolutionising contouring with a brand new version of its double-tip stick. A new, easy-to-blend cream formula with a natural matte finish, to sculpt your face in a single step. The shades have also been reworked to increase the contrast between the light and dark tones and engage with the contouring trend that is more sophisticated and popular than ever.”
I know I’ve said this more times than I’ve had hot dinners, but I’m actually not the biggest fan of cream products.
However, I have recently been converted to the dark cream side.
After using the Makeup Revolution Cream Contour palette in conjunction with a decent contour brush, I fell in love with cream contouring. The only reason I started to give it a go is because I’ve only been using a BB cream for my base and not setting it. I absolutely hate putting powder contour/blush/highlight over the top of an unset base, so I popped on a few cream contouring tutorials on YouTube and gave it my best go.
I do prefer applying it straight on with a brush, rather than applying it from the stick and then blending out after.
I just hope it lives up to expectations!
“For the first time ever we’ve combined the effects of the warm bronze of sunlight, the ethereal glow of moonlight and the twinkling effect of starlight together for a unicorn of a bronzer and a glow like nothing you’ve ever seen.”
I’ve never been so disappointed by a makeup launch than I was when Too Faced released their Unicorn collection. I’m so sick of seeing sparkly kids looking makeup and I’m even sicker of seeing Unicorns everywhere I look.
Personally, I couldn’t think of anything worse than using this glittery, holographic bronzer. Give me their Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer any day.
I think in all honesty, this is going to go straight into my present/giveaway pile. I know so many people were a fan of the collection, but I just can’t think of a worse mythical creature to collaborate with makeup products.
“The #1 liquid Liner on the market! This effortless liquid eyeliner features a unique combination of two film-forming polymers that make every look last. Rich, deep, luminous colour pigments offer the most intense colour, and its uniquely shaped foam tip pen allows for precise shaping and defining of the eyes.”
Despite having quite a large collection of liquid eyeliners, I don’t actually think I currently own a brown shade.
I tend to skip eyeliner all together now, but there is the odd occasion that I do pop on either a black or brightly coloured wing.
Compared to what makeup I used to wear, I now keep things pretty simple and natural. I’ve seen a lot of people using brown eyeliner to draw a super thin line across their upper lash line, and it looks really pretty, so I’m definitely going to try this one out in the morning.
