I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to write up my Pixi By Petra Glow In A Box PR unboxing. By now, you should know how much I adore Pixi as a brand. The British launched beauty brand has been around for over 10 years now, and every new release is more exciting than the one before.
Pixi is typically known as a skincare brand, and rose to fame for their Glow Tonic which is adored by so many (including myself!). A few months back, I received their #PixiPretties collaboration. Featuring only makeup, I soon became a huge fan of their cosmetics. To this day, I still can’t seem to put down their Palette Chloette. Chloe Morello did such an incredible job on this palette, and I’m going to be so sad once I hit pan on the blushes.
I first got my hands on these beautiful products at the start July. Luckily for you guys, I’ve had a good ol’ play around with the products, so I can finally give you the full low-down on them all.
Pixi By Petra Glow In A Box PR Unboxing
‘Product Details: Super silky gossamer-soft powder to create a lit-from-within luminosity. Perfectly pigmented with a creamy skin-like texture, it looks natural in any light. Use on cheek & brow bones and anywhere you want to add a touch of glow.’
These two glowy highlights currently come in two different shades – Subtle Sunrise and Delicate Dew. Out of the both of them, Delicate Dew has to be my favourite. It’s two, luminous, pinky toned shades looks absolutely stunning, and gives you that fresh, awakened look. Subtle Sunrise has another pink shade on the right (a lighter shade than the ones in Delicate Dew), and also a pale, yellowy gold shade that sits on the left hand side.
Surprisingly, since I’m super pale, I thought that Subtle Sunrise would have been more up my street, but I can’t seem to tear myself away from the beautiful pink shades. Luckily, both of the shades compliment multiple skin colours (from pasty gals and boys like myself, to my dark skinned beauties). Recently, it seem’s that highlighters in certain shades only really suit certain skin colours, but that’s definitely not the case with the Glow-y Gossamer Duos.
How To Apply: Buff on & blend.
Price: £20.00 each.
‘Product Details: Long wearing, liquid glimmer eyeshadow lights up the eyes with super sparkles to create an ethereal look. Infused with chamomile and rose extracts to soothe and hydrate.
Thanks to Stila, liquid eyeshadows have become the new big thing in the beauty world. Luckily, Pixi have created their own, but for half the price.
I thought I’d warn you beforehand, but brace yourself for an unedited photo. Yes, that’s right. No pretty pink filter on the photo below, but I didn’t see the point in editing a swatch photo.
Passion Light – This is such a beautiful, dark copper shade. It’s the most pigmented out of the 5, so this can be worn on its own, or on top of another eyeshadow.
Rose Gold – Anything rose gold coloured and I’m sold. This looks absolutely stunning on the lid and works best as an eyeshadow topper. It can be worn alone, but it does need a few layers to get the true colour.
Bare Brilliance – I hate to say it, but I think this is my least favourite. Like Passion Light, this Liquid Fairy Lights is really pigmented, but it’s just not the most exciting for me. However, this would look really beautiful if it was buffed out into the lid.
Sun Ray – Give me a golden eyeshadow any day. Especially a sparkly, glittery.
Crystalline – The least pigmented shadow, but it’s still one of my favourites. I love using this as an eyeshadow topper and also under my brow bone and inner corners of my eyes to really wake me up.
How To Apply:
- Apply directly on bare eye lids or over eye makeup as a topper.
- Use finger or brush to pat and blend as desired. ‘
Price: £15 each.
