Pixi Glow Tonic 5% Glycolic Acid Review

If you’ve ever asked for skin care recommendations, I’ve likely mentioned this bad boy.

Exfoliating, alcohol-free toner for smoother, brighter, and clearer skin.

I originally brought the travel sized 100ml bottle, since I didn’t particularly want to throw £18 down the drain, if it was no good. Especially since my mum said she sent hers back to QVC since she didn’t like it.

Product Details:

• Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid
• Exfoliates, brightens and smoothes skin
• Aloe vera, ginseng and botanical extracts work together to nourish and treat
• Instant glow inhancer
• Alcohol free
• Gentle for all skin types
• Not tested on animals
• Volume: 100ml/250ml

I honestly didn’t think I would get along with this even though it was rated in the ‘100 Top Beauty 2015’.

I brought a whole bunch of new products to switch up my skin care routine, so I can’t 100% say that this was the main man to play a part in changing my skin.

I started to use this in the morning, and then again in the evening. I noticed within DAYS how amazing my skin was starting to look. My spots were clearing up, my skin looked as if it was FINALLY all one colour, and it definitely felt softer. I honestly can’t believe I had spent all these years without this product!

I was SUPER worried about using an ‘acid’ on my face. I honestly thought my face was going to melt off, or it would be drier than the Sahara Desert. I’m going to be writing a post about different types of acid in skin care, so watch out for that!

  • Reduced acne
  • Soften my skin
  • Cleans pores
  • Good price for what it is
  • Doesn’t irritate my skin
  • Smooths out my skin
  • Love the packaging

  • Not overly long-lasting (I’m more than likely drenching my cotton pads)
  • Not too keen on the smell, but doesn’t put me off, and can’t smell once applied

I honestly cannot go ANYWAY without this. I’m writing this in a hospital bed, and it’s still next to me.

I would recommend buying the travel sized 100ml bottle at first to see if you like it, but the regular 250ml bottle is at such a good price, you cannot say no.

I would like to say if anyone is considering going for the pre-soaked pads, to go with these instead, Buying the bottle of product and cotton pads separately will save you a HECK ton of money.

Have you ever tried Pixi’s Glow Tonic? What did you think of it?
