I recently very kindly got sent some things from the brand Rainwater Botanicals and I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about the products, and the brand as a whole.
Rainwater Botanicals is a natural, American brand that hand makes all of their products and first formulated their Healing Salve in 1999. From shampoos to hand creams, you’re bound to find something that appeals to you and your needs.
What really stood out about Rainwater Botanicals for me is that all their products are handmade, they use natural ingredients and that none of their products are tested on animals.
After checking out their reviews on Etsy, I was completely shocked to see that they have had a total of 11,822 reviews, which have equaled out at 5 stars. With nearly 12,000 glowing reviews on their products and nearly 30,000 sales on their Etsy site alone, I knew this brand was going to be something special.
Natural Cream Blush For Cheeks, Eyes & Lips
‘Organic mango butter, organic rosehip oil and organic jojoba oil with pamper your complexion in our new Cream Blush. With a super creamy soft texture for buildable, blendable, natural color. You can use this on you lips or eyelids and of course your cheeks too!’
Ingredients: Organic mango butter, non gmo soy wax, rosehip oil, organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax, titanium dioxide, oxides, mica, zinc, natural organic fragrance.
Shade Range: 3 shades – Rosehip, Cocoa and Plum
Size: .25oz side tin.
I’ll be honest and say that when I first saw the colour of this, I was slightly worried. When I opened the tin, I saw the shade Plum, which is a stunning deep purple shade, but I was concerned that since it was such a deep colour that it wouldn’t suit my skin tone.
How I was wrong.
Not only did the colour suit my cheeks perfectly, but it also made such a beautiful lip tint! The cream itself is super buttery and melts instantly when you swipe the product. I can see me using this up pretty quickly!
Rating: 5/5. Love it so much. I think I’m going to have to treat myself to the other 2 shades!
Autumn Natural Perfume With Plum Kernal & Jojoba Oil
‘Autumn perfume is a warm and sexy blend of spice and wood. Top notes of sweet orange, plum, almond and cherry. Middle notes of spruce, clove, cardamom, and black pepper. Base notes include sandalwood, oakmoss and amber. A very warm scent for crisp fall days. Perfect for men and women! Natural, organic plum and jojoba oil in a roller ball applicator that fits nicely in a pocket or handbag for convenience. Our perfumes are all natural and will last all day and night. ‘
Ingredients: Organic oil, Essential oil, extracts, absolutes.
Honestly, if you could put Autumn into a bottle, this would be exactly how it smells. The name suits the scent so well! It also reminds me of warm colours (a good thing) and cosy nights being all tucked up under a blanket (definitely a good thing). The perfume smells quite spicy, and I completely agree that this scent is uni-sex.
The only problem for me is that a lot of strong perfumes do give me a headache, so I do tend to give them a miss and I can’t ever really see me wearing this myself for that reason. However, I’m definitely going to rub some of this onto a bit of kitchen roll and leave it by the radiator to give the room a nice, autumnal smell.
Rating: 3/5 only because I wouldn’t be able to wear this as a perfume!
Colour Correcting Eye Balm With Pomegranate, Argan, Rosehip & Boabab Oils
‘Rainwater Botanicals is proud to present our new CC Eye Balm. Antioxidant rich oils of pomegranate, argan, rosehip and boabab fight free radicals for naturally ageless eyes. Organic mango butter and raspberry seed oil deliver rich emollients to nourish delicate skin around eyes while minerals protect from sun damage and conceal dark circles. This amazing eye balm will replace your daytime eye treatments, creams and concealers as it delivers effective nutrient rich emollients, anti-aging antioxidants and sunscreen while concealing imperfections. CC Eye Balm can be used to cover blemishes & dark spots too.’
Ingredients: Non GMO Soy Wax, Organic Mango Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Mica, Zinc Oxide, Candelilla Wax, Organic Argan Oil, Rosehip Oil, Pomegranate Oil, Raspberry Seed oil, Boabab Oil, Kaolin Clay.
Shade Range: 2 – Light and Medium (more shades are coming soon though)
Size: I couldn’t find the size anywhere! Sizing of tin is similar to half the size of a single eyeshadow.
Unfortunately, I was really let down by this. Since it said it can be used to cover blemishes aswell, I was expecting a pretty high coverage concealer. After swatching it, I literally saw no pigmentation. I thought that prehaps it had to be warmed up a little for the pigment to show, so after I swirled my finger around the tin a little more, I swatched it again – still nothing. I will be honest and say that because of the lack of pigmentation, I haven’t used it on my eyes yet so I’m not too sure on how well this would work as an eye treatment, however, when I swatched it, it did feel very moisturising, so can only imagine it doing good things in that aspect.
I have checked out the reviews left from other buyers and all of them say how much they like the product and how it lasts all day, so it does seem more than likely I got a bad one.
Rating: 1/5. I’m pretty sure that I did receive a bad one and going off the other reviews, it would seem that I would really like this otherwise!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you may have heard how much I fell in love with the Skin 79 Pink BB Cream, but still have yet to repurchase it. Now, I’m not sure I need too.
This does take a little while to fully blend out into my skin, but when it’s on, my skin looks so bright, healthy and dewy, without it looking oily.
I also have super oily skin and wanted to put a bit of pressure onto this product to really test it out. The other day, it was the opening of a huge shopping centre in Oxford which happened to be the day this arrived at my door step. I popped it on in the morning with no primer, setting powder or setting spray, and hopped out of the door. Turns out the shopping centre was a lot hotter than I ever anticipated (especially for October!) and was physically sweating. When I got home, I checked to see how well the CC cream had held up, and honestly? I’m super impressed. Not only did I not look oily after around 4 hours (usually, I look oily after an hour), but it also managed to look freshly applied!
The only downfall is that the coverage is very light, where as I prefer high coverage products, but after seeing how it held up, I know this is going to be my go-to in the summer!
Rating: 3.5/5 only because of the coverage – but then again, it is a cc cream and not a foundation! I can’t seem to ditch the full coverage look just yet!

Shade Range: 6 – Anisette, Ginger Nut, Iced Mocha, Sweet Birch, Tangerine Grapefruit and Pink Grapefuit.
Size: 1/4 oz
Anisette is a sheer lip balm with a punch. Whilst it doesn’t have a lot of pigmentation, it tastes amazing (think of christmas) and feels super hydrating on the lips. I constantly am forgetting to take care of my lips, and the travel friendly packaging makes this really easy to throw in your handbag. Also, when it tastes that great, it’s hard to not want to use it.
Iced Mocha definitely has a lot more pigmentation in than Anisette. Whilst some people may not like the fact it has so much colour, I am a huge fan. It is the perfect fall/autumn shade, and feels just as moisturising as Anisette. I will say that this one doesn’t have as much flavour, but it doesn’t put me off using it.

I haven’t actually had the chance to try this out yet as I am currently using a prescribed lotion from the doctors, and didn’t want anything to interact with it. I have kept this in my ‘daily use’ drawer, so I’ll be writing a full review on that when I try it out.
Honestly, even though I won’t be using the eye CC cream and the perfume (apart from using it in my room), I’m actually super impressed. I love what they stand for and how they’re constantly trying to expand the amount of products that they sell, making sure that they have a product out there for everyone. I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings for this brand!
What do you think of this brand? Would you try out their products?
