BLOGMAS | DIY Stocking Fillers

I actually think I prefer DIY gifts to shop brought ones. They’re usually super cheap to make, they’re really personal, and they’re normally quite good fun to make – so what’s stopping you?! Here’s a few DIY Stocking Fillers ideas that your recipient will love to receive.

Personalised Polka Dot Mug

I swear every household had a cupboard jam-packed with mugs. I’ve got mugs with Peter Rabbit on, Edward Cullen (I’m judging me too – don’t worry) and your bog standard Sports Direct mugs, but I don’t actually own a personalised one. Get your artistic juices flowing, and create one for the whole family.

Mini Bar In A Jar

There’s something really appealing about miniature bottles of alcohol, and they’re usually actually quite affordable, depending on what alcohol you get.

Mason Jar Bar

Similar to the one above, but this one may be best suited for someone who only drinks a certain drink, or you could create a larger version, with a bottle of beer and a packet of crisps (aka the best combination in life).

Chocolate Santa Sleigh

I can imagine these sitting on top of the fire place on Christmas day. Just please don’t light the fire. As cute as they are, I don’t think they’d look so cute melted.

Sewn Paper Candy Pouch

Even though these are a really basic idea, I think they’re actually really effective. You could even turn them into your own advent calendar, or sew on some ribbon and hang them from your tree.

Rainbow Heart Crayon

I remember how many tiny bits of crayons I had, and I wish I knew about this then! Perfect for making if you don’t have a lot of space for lots of crayons, or for all those broken pieces!

Spa In A Jar

Now this is what I’m talking about. For an even cheaper alternative, you could just collect samples from magazines, and the little bottles that they leave in hotels.

52 Things I Love About You

This is something I’ve seen a lot over Twitter and Tumblr. Such a clever little idea, but so personal at the same time.

Baked Goods

Arts and crafts not your thing? Not to worry. I’ve come across an amazing Gluten Free Gingerbread Recipe which are sure to go down a treat.

What DIY Stocking Fillers will you be making this year?
