What’s A Common Cause?
So, we’re first going to have to talk about some of the common causes of mental health, and maybe how they might touch our lives throughout the years. So, the most common cause of many mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, is severe stress. Stress can come from all walks of our life, and when it does hit us, it can be so severe that it literally bring us down. So you might be working too much, and then coming home to a household full of hate and arguments, and that’s only going to be damaging. Or, you might work for a terrible company who is really pushing you to the edge of your limits, and that’s another big cause for some. So think about all of the areas in your life that cause you stress, and start cutting them out one by one. If it’s your relationship, then simply cut the cord. If it’s the work you’re doing, quit your job and find one that treats you better. If you’re seriously going to let the stresses in your life carry on, so much so that it causes you mental health issues, you’re really not living life how you should be!
What Is Out Of Our Control?
It’s not all about the mental health issues that some scenarios in life cause us, it’s the things that can happen to your mind that are out of your control, but still have serious impacts on your life. So take dementia for example, something that can actually happen at any age, but commonly happens as we age. Sometimes it’s linked to genetics, sometimes it’s linked to just how your mind is made up. But experts say that if you train your brain and keep it fresh whilst you’re young, it’s so easy to prevent the onset of dementia. But some of the best memory games for adults are built for battling dementia and keeping the mind fresh at an earlier age. Not only that, it keeps your mind thinking about other things. You have to think about all of the rubbish that goes through your mind every single day, and nearly all of it won’t be productive thoughts. But if you train your brain and do some basics games to do so, it keeps it engaged with something new and exciting!
How Can We Help Those Around Us?
This is a really big one that we want to talk about, because we really don’t feel like we’re paying enough attention to those around us, and the help they’re going to need. People suffering with mental health, usually the worst kind, will suffer in silence. You might notice things like them staying in all of the time, being grouchy, or just making little comments about their life that they shouldn’t be. If you even slightly suspect it, jump on them like a rash, and get them through it. Get them to open up, be by their side, and get them some professional help. You literally could save lives just by being there! So many people are ignorant to those who are suffering around them, perhaps because they don’t understand what’s going on, or they don’t believe the person is truly suffering. Never be one of these people, always be a promoter of positive mental health!
