When you want to be happy, and you want to make sure that you’re living your best life, it’s so important to make sure that you’re taking steps to make both of those things happen. But it can seem really hard. Because at the same time, you have to just get on with it! When your life isn’t ideally where you want it to be, and you’re trying to be as happy as possible. So, what do you do? Well, one of the best ideas is to think about working on small ways to make yourself happier. While you’re trying to work on this balance, there are some really great small things that can just help you nurture your life this week. And these include;

So first of all, one of the things that you will find is that if you can get a good night’s sleep, you are going to feel so happy and fulfilled it’s kind of crazy. Now, you know that sleep is important, but when you’re busy, it’s just so hard to try and focus on that. Because something has got to give. But if you really want to make sure that you’re nourished and nurtured, prioritizing your sleep is incredibly important.
2. Hang Out With Friends
So next, you could also make a commitment to hang out with your friends a little more. If you tend to go from home to work and home again, then repeat, it can get both boring and frustrating. So why not mix that up? Think about spending more time with your friends. Go to the pub, look for a quiz night near you, host a games night yourself. Just do something different and see how committing to this can really boost your week.

3. Go On A Date
The next thing to do, is to think about heading out on a date. And before you think that this is silly, or that you and your partner are okay as you are, or you’re okay being single and you don’t want to date, step back. Because there are so many benefits of going on dates and just enjoying some time spend with another person – even if it’s a date night with your BFF and not a romantic one!
4. Exercise Your Body & Mind
And exercising is so important too. And not just going for a run, but exercising your mind too. Mindfulness can keep your calm, make you feel more grounded – and happier too. So why not do a yoga class so that you can get the benefit of both.
5. Start A New Book
And last but certainly not least, you should definitely think about picking up a new book to read this week. Sometimes, you just need to feed your soul. And there’s no better way to do that than to spend some time reading. But don’t just pick up any old book that you have been meaning to read or that’s half read. Instead, take a trip to the bookstore and pick out something that really speaks to you in the moment, and then devour it in one sitting!
