October is only days away, and honestly, I can’t wait to start wearing cosy jumpers again. Don’t get me wrong, I adore the sun, but nothing beats snuggling down in layers and layers of clothing. The more layers the better. Moving swiftly on, I don’t actually have too many October 2018 goals. Not really any huge ones anyway. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but either way, I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to manage them all!
01. Keep up with the cleaning and organising fad I’m going through
Ever since I started following a certain married women on Instagram, I can’t help but want to clean constantly. I have cleaning products dotted all over my room, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t help but Cif wipe every surface in my room. There’s just something really therapeutic about having a good clean. I’ve found that my thoughts have felt less cluttered with my room being tidy as well, so it’s a win win in my eyes.
02. Create some more brand work.
September was a really good blogging month for me. I worked with the likes of Boohoo, and signed up to some really exciting collaborations for the future. Aside from the money aspect of sponsorships, I adore creating sponsored work. I think it’s just because it’s really lovely to know that a brand wants YOU to create content for THEM because they like what you do. Honestly, I feel like a little kid at Christmas every time an opportunity lands in my inbox.
03. Edit my old blog posts.
In my ‘Bloggers Guide To SEO‘ post, I mentioned how I was editing over 300 blog posts to make them more SEO friendly. Whilst I have edited the majority of them, I want to go back and create long-tail keywords for them all. Sounds, and to be honest, IS very boring, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
04. Meet up with some friends.
I’ve been the worst friend ever these last few months. Monday and Tuesday are usually my day off, so I tend to do something with my mum on the Monday, and then on the Tuesday I’ve been spending on my sofa, in my pyjamas, eating Hoola Hoops (the BBQ Beef ones if your interested). It would be nice to make more of my days off!
05. Finish the book I’m currently reading and start a new one.
I’m currently reading ‘In The Dark’ by Cara Hunter which is the second book to the DI Fawley series. Like the first book, it’s set in Oxford which is giving me the heebee jeebees – especially when they mention Witney (which is only a 10 minute drive from me). If you haven’t dived into Cara Hunter’s books yet, you are seriously missing out.
06. Keep my motivational levels up.
I brought myself two to-do books a few weeks back, and ever since I’ve started using them, I’ve got my shit in order. The first thing I do when I wake up is write everything I want to do that day, and then I try to get as much done as I can before work, and anything I didn’t have time to do, I move it over to the next day.
There are some really pretty ones online, but I just got bog standard ones from Poundland and Wilkos.
