Happy October! Is it sad I’m actually excited about being able to watch Hocus Pocus now? Or at least, being able to watch it and not get totally judged for watching it in summer. Moving on, I’ve found some really incredible products this month, and I’m super excited to talk to you about them in my September 2018 favourites. Hair oil, books, cleansers, the lot.
Just a disclaimer, but I can’t be held accountable if this post makes you want to dip into your overdraft…
Hair oils always used to scare the life out of me. Mainly because I always put WAY too much on my hair, and ended up looking like a greasy mess.
The Liz Earle Hair Oil comes in a pump bottle, making it easier to control how much oil you’re using. I tend to put 2/3 pumps into the palms of my hands, run together, and then apply all over wet hair.
Whilst it doesn’t 100% control my frizzy hair, it does help to tame everything down. God, I love a product that makes me look less of a slob.
A few weeks back, I got sent a lovely PR package from Dermalogica. I’m going to do a full post with before and afters of my skin (it’s actually magic what it’s done to my skin), but I bloody love this. I just wish I used it sooner!
I know I sound like the sadist 21 year old right now, but I don’t actually know how I got anything done without these. Every morning, I fill it in, and it just really helps to keep my motivated. Whenever I’ve got a spare 10 minutes, I just check what isn’t already done, and then try and finish that task, or at least start it. Honestly, having a to-do list all ticked off is one of the most satisfying things out there.
Admittedly, this is really old and I could do with repurchasing it, but I’ve fallen back in love with Maybelline mascaras. The NYX Worth The Hype mascara has been my go to for a while now, but after trying out The Colossal Big Shot again, It’s all I’ve been using.
The wand is perfect for me. The Formula is incredible. It doesn’t flake or droop half way through the day. I just can’t seem to get enough of it at the moment!
Lacura Miracle Cream
Admittedly, after seeing Fee’s blog post about beauty dupes from Aldi, I went out and brought the Miracle Cream straight away.
Duped as the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, this cream can be applied to your face, cuticles, lips, and your body.
I personally love using it on my lips and cuticles. The formula reminds me a bit of Vaseline, so I don’t think I could bring myself to use it as a facial moisturiser, but it is extremely hydrating.
This arrived in my last Look Incredible subscription box, and I’m so bloody glad it did.
I love a good brow product, and this ticks every box for me. The spoolie is teeny tiny. It’s a tinted gel, rather than a clear one. Keeps my brows in shape all day. I just love it so much, it would be mad for me not to include it in my September 2018 favourites.
Despite a lot of bloggers currently working with Twinings, I’d like to point out that I purchased these myself and I’m not working with the brand. However, I DID purchase them since they were always popping up on my feed, and I wanted to see what the fuss was about.
Essentially, these are little flavoured tea bags that you add into a water bottle to create a flavoured water. I’ve only tried this flavour, but I cannot wait to try the others. They’re not as strong as I would like, but I can’t get enough of them.
