Happy 4th birthday to Look Fanastic! I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since their last birthday edition box. Where on earth has the time gone?! In the September 2018 Look Fantastic Subscription Box, you can see 6 different products from brands such as Philip Kingsley, Omorovicza, Eve Lom, Mane N Tail, Lord & Berry and finally, Aromatherapy Associates. Oh, and they also threw in a packet of Parma Violets, but I demolished them instantly…
The elasticising factor of this shampoo treatment smooths each strand to incredible silkiness, improves the suppleness of your hair, stretch-ability, strength and shine whilst leaving it softer, less brittle, beautifully manageable and lustrous.
How to use: Before shampooing, apply Elasticizer to wet hair in sections. Leave in for 2 to 3 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Shampoo and condition as normal.
BB Tips: If you suffer with dry or damaged hair, leave in your hair for 10 minutes and cover with a plastic cap – this will leave your hair super soft and strengthened!
I’ve tried this out before since my Mum loves this stuff. It is a little pricey to use continuously, but I do love using it as a treat now and again. I’m not too sure if it did strengthen my hair at all, but the shine and silky feeling it gives is incredible. It’s hard to believe that it’s actually my hair I’m feeling once I’ve used this!
Detox, cleanse and revive your skin with this mask that works to purify, energise and define the contours of your face. Using a range of anti-aging benefits this clay mask expertly hydrates and protects your skin as it works deeply to lift and brighten your complexion.
How to use: Apply to your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave for 15 minutes then remove throughly with a damp facial mitt or cloth.
BB Tips: If you have combination skin, try using this specifically on your T-zone!
Omorovicza (pronounced ‘o-mor-o-veet-sa‘ incase you’ve ever wondered…) is a very expensive skin care brand. I’ve tried out one of their moisturisers in the past, and really enjoyed using it. The only downside is that I could never afford to keep repurchasing their products.
The sample in the box is super tiny, so I could only really get one (two at a push) uses out of it. Every review I’ve read about the mask is always a positive one, so I’m hoping it’s good, but not good enough to make me want to repurchase it!
Regenerate your skin like never before with EVE LOM’s multi-award-winning, multi-purpose skin cleanser. Suitable for all skin types, this exfoliating cleanser decongests, softens and even removes stubborn waterproof make-up from your skin!
How to use: Apply the cleanser once a day for normal/dry skin types or twice a day for congested skins. Massage a small amount onto the face and neck over make-up and grime from the day. Run the Muslin Cloth under hot water and in small circular movements, work the cloth across the face and neck to remove all traces of cleanser and make-up.
BB Tips: Warm up the cleanser between hands first to melt the crystals before application.
I was a little disappointed to see this in the September 2018 Look Fantastic Subscription Box. I know this is a cult beauty product, and a lot of people will be happy to see this, however, this cleanser was in their last birthday box. I’d much rather have a range of different products every month, with no repeats. On the plus side, this will be going in my giveaway pile!
This fast-absorbing and non-greasy cream targets cracked, dry skin not only on your hands but on your feet and body! When applied to hands, it strengthens and protects nails to leave them strong and healthy. Expect smooth, comfortable and rejuvenated skin all over straight after application!
How to use: Massage into dry skin on the hands, feet or body, especially knees and elbows.
BB Tips: Use after removing false nails to soften any irritated skin and restore your nail strength.
Since when did Mane n Tail start doing hand cream?! I could have sworn that they only made hair products? I rarely remember to pop on hand cream, but luckily the bottle is quite small, so I’m going to pop this on my bedside table in hopes that it reminds me to use it!
The cream itself is rather thick, but surprisingly not greasy at all. I don’t tend to suffer with dry hands, but this may come in handy in the winter times.
Add a subtle glow to your skin with this pink highlighting pencil by Lord & Berry. This is perfect to create a radiant glow in specific areas of your face thanks to the precision tip. It’s so multi-functional, you can even use this on your cheekbones, brow bones, on your Cupid’s bow or wherever else you fancy!
How to use: Lightly dot the pencil across whenever you would like to highlight and blend out with your fingertips.
BB Tips: Try on the lid of your eye as a shimmering base or for some subtle every day colour.
Even though I’ve never heard of a ‘strobing pencil’ before, I wasn’t overly impressed when I first saw it. Once I’d swatched it, I realised just how beautiful it really was.
It leaves such a beautiful pinky toned highlight and would look absolutely stunning on the inner corner of your eye. It does also say it can be used on your cheekbones, but since the pencil is quite thin, I reckon it would take some work to really build up the glow.
Make your bath or shower time even better with this luxurious Bath & Shower Oil by Aromatherapy Associates. This month, you’ll have either received the Lavender and Peppermint or Revive Morning Bath and Shower Oil, both allow you to indulge in a moment of peace and experience the invigorating powers of aromatherapy in the comfort of your own home.
How to use: Add a capful of the oil to your warm bath or massage onto your torso, cup your hands, bring them to your face and inhale deeply 3 times.
BB Tips: Inhaling the incredible scents of this Bath and Shower Oil will help when practicing mindfulness or meditation, so make time for some me-time this month and prepare for extreme relaxation.
In the September 2018 Look Fantastic Subscription Box, I received the ‘Revive Morning Bath and Shower Oil’. I’m not going to lie, the thought of bath oils terrify me. The main reason being is that the last thing I want is to get out the bath, and be left with greasy hair and skin. That being said, I can imagine this being perfect to use in the shower if you suffer with dry skin.
I will have to man up and give this a go, but let’s just keep our fingers crossed that I don’t look a greasy mess afterwards.
